Torrey Pines 2008 US Open Championship

Torrey Pines is the venue for the 2008 US Open Championship. It is the first time that the venue has been used in the tournaments 103 year history.

The course is most famd for staging the Buick International each year on the US PGA Golf tour, however, staging its first major is a huge credit to this municipal course, that is open to the general public all year round.

The course was opened in 1957 and boasts some stunning coast line views from its challenging holes. It is home to many species of wildlife including Racoons, Snakes, Hawks and Ravens making it a truly unique golf course.
