2010 US Open Championship Pebble beach
Pebble Beach Golf Links is one of the most famous golf courses in the world and venue for the 2010 US Open Championship. Lining the Pacific coast of Califonia it is a nortoriously tough course for US Open Players with many of the holes incorporating the rocky coastline.
When Pebble Beach Links hosts the US Open Championship it will be the fifth time that the venue has hosted the tournament. Previous US Open Championships held at the venue were held in 1972, 1982, 1992 and 2000 with Jack Nicklaus winning the first event held there and Tiger Woods the last winner at the course when he won by a US Open record 15 strokes, form that will no doubt see Tiger as the player to beat when the championship returns to this course in 2010.
