Top ranked Swedish golfer, Henrik Stenson has been a top ten ranked golfer for the last couple of years or so and many think that 2010 could be his breakthrough year as he goes searching for his first major championship. His big result to date came last year when he won the Players Championship at Sawgrass which is known as the 'unofficial fifth Major.' that was a huge win for the Swede and if he can reproduce that win at Pebble Beach then the US Open is within his reach.

Henrik turned Professional back in 1998 but it took him several years to establish himself on the world stage. He did not play his first Major until 2001, when he missed the cut at the British Open. His next Major appearance did not come until the British Open again in 2005, but he has yet to miss one since. His best performance in a Major came in the British Open in 2008 when he was third, behind Padraig Harrington, he also came 4th in The PGA Championship a month or so later again behind Harrington.
He will need to improve on his recent form if he is to go close at Pebble Beach but there is no doubting he has all the tools needed to win a Major Championship. He is long off of the tea which is always a big advantage and if he gets it right then he is one to watch.
