2009 US Open Championship Bethpage State Park

Bethpage State Park Golf Curse is the venue for the 2009 US Open Championship. It will be the second time that the Farmingdale, New York course has hosted the tournamnet after it was played there in 2002 when Tiger Woodswon the Championship.

Bethpage State Park was the first municipal golf course to host a US Open Championship and since other municipal courses in American have hosted the tournament, including 2008 US Open Chamionship venue Torrey Pines. Bethstage State Park is a very tough course with features including long fairways and large areas of open rough making it a tricky assignment for any player. However, it is also a very picturesque course and voted one of the best in the USA.
